You can always tell it's sweeps month when the news broadcast has hard hitting stories like this one. Seems a group of women in the country music business are getting their names into the public eye by posing for
FHM. The issue hit the streets this week.
Eight women
posed for the pictoral and I've only heard of two of them--
Jamie O'Neal and
Jennifer Hanson (she had the video hit "Beautiful Goodbyes" a few years ago). I seem to recall that a couple of the other ladies look familiar from billboards I've seen in downtown (I know I saw a
Tift Merritt billboard the other day. It stuck with me because of her name), but I can't remember if I've ever heard any of them sing.
Of course, the report also went on to mention how some male country singers are getting some extra publicity for themselves by posing in Playgirl this month. Those photos couldn't be shown during the broadcast, obviously. Nor will I be searching out any links for them to post here. Sorry, ladies.
But my question in this is--will any of these singers be around in five years?
That said,
Shelly Fairchild and
Catherine Britt caught my attention....
