UPN officially
put the nail in the coffin of
Enterprise yesterday, cancelling the series after four seasons. (It's the first
Star Trek series to be cancelled since the NBC gave classic
Trek the axe after three seasons) Had this happened after season two, I might not have been that concerned about it, but after the creative rebound the show has had this year, I have to admit I'm a bit saddened by the news. Under producer Manny Cotto, the show was finally living up to its premise and delivering some solid
Star Trek stories.
Only real good news I can see in this that the news came early enough so that we should get a series finale instead of a season finale with a cliffhanger that will never be resolved...
