Vickie at Magnolia Glen posted this history of her Grandpa Carl.
. Here's just a small excerpt of it to whet your interest.
By this time, I was alive and well and I was the apple of my grandfather's eye. From the time I was about four-years-old, Grandpa Carl would take me out to help him dig for artifacts and he would tell me grand tales of the Cherokee Nation and other things. He also knew about trees and birds and bugs and could name them all. I was entranced and would sit listening to every word for hours. I thought Grandpa Carl was the most fascinating person alive.
It is a very moving story and I highly recommend it to you.
