Day one of the August Challenge and I have to admit I'm about to burst with things that made me happy this weekend to share. So, here are just a few.
- In the same vein as the Michael is a book-a-holic last week. So, Saturday I'm at the library returning some books and I am broswing the Friends of the Library book table. Now, let me back up here..the week before I'd been at the book store and thought--you know, I bought a book a while ago and never got around to reading it, though I wanted to do so. During that time, well, let's just suffice it to say I couldn't get to the book and I figured it was worth $7 just to replace it. Well, I looked about at said bookstore for the book and couldn't find it...until Saturday when it's on the Friends of the Library table for sale for a whopping dime. So, I saved $6.90 plus the taxes..(Sorry Phil B!) Talk about cool!
- Saturday evening, I went over to my sister's for dinner. I arrived after my parental units and my cousin (who I'd helped move a washer and dryer earlier in the day) and rang the doorbell. From inside I hear, "Michael is here" and then this loud scream of delight. I open the door, walk in and Davis, my nephew sees me. He smiles, shrieks in delight and runs up to hug me. Then he says, "Holdme" (it's all one word when he says it) and shoots out his arms. I pick him up and until he went to bed, he wanted no one else there but to be around his Uncle Michael.
