You wouldn't think the TV column of the "Best Bets" for the evening would need a SPOILER wanring. But apparently the one in the
Tennessean does!
Yesterday, they gave away the last five minutes of Gilmore Girls, which kind of ruined the jaw-dropping value of the moment when Emily goes to Christopher and tells him that he'd better get off his duff and make a move for Lorelai because Emily doesn't approve of Luke. That would've been so much better had I not been expecting it.
Now, we come to tonight's
Smallville, which the promos are teasing us with someone finds out that Clark has superpowers.
I've been good. I stayed away from SPOILERS about this. I wanted to go in without that knowledge..that is until I read in the
Tennessean this morning exactly who finds out and how. Ugh! All I can say is--this had better be revealed in the first fifteen or so minutes or I'm gonna be pissed.
In other things that bugged me--I was watching the WB last night and they had this commercial celebrating their 10th year on the air and talking about all the shows that put them on the radar. Except, guys, you missed the one show that gave you credibility and got the buzz going in the first place for your little network. Just a small, show called
Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.
Buffy was the right kind of show at the right time for a struggling network. It is the show that gave you your identity WB and even though you cheaped out on the last two seasons and lost it to UPN and then cancelled
Angel before its time, you should still give the show that put you on the map some credit.
